What the work looks like

What the work looks like

What the work looks like

A fractional CFO does the work of a finance lead on a part-time schedule. We own the model, the budget and the 13-week cash forecast. We run the close with your bookkeeper and accountant, write the monthly pack and prepare board materials. When a decision moves cash, such as a senior hire, a price change or a new market, we test it against the model before you commit.

Most clients see us two to three days a month, typically 24–40 hours, with more time during a raise or a board cycle. You get one named lead, usually a partner, supported by our FP&A and reporting team. The work continues when your lead is on another client’s board call.

The first 30 days follow a fixed plan: a written diagnostic, a close calendar, a first cut of the forecast and a board-ready pack. After that we run a monthly cadence you can see on a calendar. When you are ready for a full-time CFO, we help write the role, interview candidates and hand over a finance function that already runs.
